“‘Kintsugi’ is a nod to the ancient Japanese art form of mending broken objects with precious metal. It explores the philosophy of displaying breakage and repair as part of our own history. The whole of our being is so much greater than a list of our experiences and attributes. The traumas, the victories - they create our idiosyncrasies, our contradictions, strengths and flaws. We are all beautiful disasters.”
